At the 2024 International Commercial Vehicles Show (2024 IAA) in Hannover, Germany, which just concluded, Sinotruk brought seven of its newly upgraded products, including the Yellow River hydrogen internal combustion engine traction train, Shandeka hydrogen fuel cell tractor, HOWO Leader pure electric light truck, and Bosheng pickup truck, to the auto show. At this exhibition, Sinotruk adhered to the core concept of “Zero to Hero”, using technology to shape the green industry ecology and jointly protect the green home. At this auto show, the exhibits of Sinotruk attracted great attention from professional visitors and media from all over the world. These products not only achieved a perfect combination of low carbon emissions and high efficiency in the power system, but also made breakthrough progress in intelligence and networking, such as the application of automatic driving assistance system, remote monitoring and fault diagnosis technology upgrade, etc., which demonstrated Sinotruk’s strong strength and forward-looking vision in technological innovation and product upgrade.

The newly upgraded Yellow River hydrogen internal combustion engine traction train was released on the media day of the exhibition. With its drag coefficient of 0.286, it once again refreshed the limit record of low wind resistance design in the heavy truck industry. This milestone achievement of independent intelligent manufacturing indicates that the vehicle will achieve an energy efficiency improvement of about 15% in long-distance transportation. In addition, more than 20 active and passive drag reduction technologies such as active air intake grille, electronic rearview mirror, hidden door handles, and full vehicle detail fluid guidance help the vehicle further break through the limit of low wind resistance.

The launch of the Yellow River hydrogen internal combustion engine traction train has undoubtedly injected new vitality and inspiration into the development of the global commercial vehicle market at this year’s Hannover Motor Show, leading the industry towards a cleaner and smarter future.

  Diversified layout, leading the transformation of low-carbon logistics industry

It is reported that over the past 20 years, Sinotruk has attached great importance to the layout and cultivation of the international market, and has accumulated profound experience. According to statistics, Sinotruk’s products have been exported to more than 150 countries and regions, and the cumulative export of heavy trucks has exceeded 600,000. Nearly 1,000 distribution outlets and 80 overseas offices have been established around the world, forming a global marketing and service network.

At this auto show, the Shandeka hydrogen fuel cell tractor, which is supported by a series of cutting-edge technologies such as hydrogen fuel cell system, electric drive axle, vehicle control and speed control independently developed by Sinotruk, can be said to have “attracted countless fans”. The vehicle has a cruising range of up to 1,200 kilometers and zero carbon emissions throughout the journey; it uses an integrated two-speed electric drive axle, each axle has two sets of 275kW flat-wire permanent magnet synchronous motors, the system efficiency is as high as 94.5%, the maximum total power is 1,100kW, and the maximum torque at the wheel end is 86,000N.m. It can select automatic/manual driving mode according to driving conditions, meet the requirements of various transportation scenarios, and truly realize the zero-carbon strategy in the logistics and transportation process.

In addition to hydrogen energy, the Shandeka electric drive axle tractor, which was created to meet the needs of trunk logistics transportation scenarios, has also made breakthroughs. The vehicle adopts modular integration and vehicle-electricity integrated design, equipped with a 600kWh CTB lithium iron phosphate power battery from CATL, with a range of up to 450km. It adopts a three-motor configuration with a power of up to 825kW, a maximum output torque of 75,000N.m, a transmission efficiency of more than 94.5%, strong power, and worry-free endurance.

In addition to the above three models, popular models such as HOWO Tongshuai pure electric light truck and Bosheng pickup truck have also attracted attention from the global commercial vehicle industry. These models cover multiple market segments such as heavy trucks, light trucks, and light vehicles, fully demonstrating the rich product line and strong market competitiveness of Sinotruk. These models combine oriental aesthetics with practical functions of commercial vehicles in design, and have achieved a leap from “manufacturing” to “intelligent manufacturing” in technology.
